The National Band Association is pleased to partner with Historic Programs to present the All-American D-Day Band. Under the direction of Colonel (R) Timothy Holtan, former Leader and Commander of The United States Army Band “Pershing’s Own,” this elite ensemble of 125 of America’s finest high school musicians will represent the United States at four officially recognized ceremonies and events for the June 2022 D-Day Commemoration in Normandy, France.
The 125 All-Americans will travel to Washington DC in May of 2022 to meet Col. Holtan and his staff of some of the finest professional music educators and military musicians in America today. Following two days of rehearsals and special events in our Nation’s Capital, the All-American D-Day Band will travel to Normandy, France for 3 days of official D-Day Ceremonies and special events. The All-American experience will conclude in Paris, the “City of Lights,” for performances, tours and unique All-American experiences. This will be a once-in-a-life-time opportunity for these outstanding high school All-Americans.

This All-American opportunity is open to the graduating classes of 2022 and 2023. Director nominations are the first step, which triggers the invitation to complete a student application. Both must be complete and submitted by February 15, 2021, so don’t delay.
