Biloxi High School (MS) recently hosted an NBA Symposium featuring clinicians from across the South working with six different high school bands in a day filled with rehearsals, clinics, and masterclasses.  Participating band programs included:

Biloxi High School – Travis Coakley, Director

West Harrison High School – Tim Garrett, Director

West Jones High School – Mark Laird, Director

Long Beach High School – Mickey Mangum, Director

D’Iberville High School – James Brown, Director

Purvis High School – Nicole Allen, Director

 

Clinicians working with these band programs included Colonel Thomas Palmatier (U.S. Army Band, retired), Dr. Catherine Rand (University of Southern Mississippi), Mrs. Elva Kay Lance (Mississippi State University), Dr. Craig Aarhus (Mississippi State University), Dr. Clifton Taylor (Mississippi State University), Dr. Rick Good (Auburn University), and Mr. Roy King (J.M. Tate High School).  Additional masterclass instructors were supplied by Auburn University, Mississippi State University, University of Southern Mississippi, and William Carey University.
