The Division and State Chairs of the National Band Association are integral to the success of the organization. The NBA is divided into six Divisions: Eastern, Southern, North Central, Southwestern, Western, and Northwestern.
When funding is available, the NBA provides divisions up to $500 per year for special projects. These funds are awarded at the discretion of the Executive Committee through the Division Chairs and are utilized for such activities as clinician expenses for state conventions, as incentives for research, and/or as seed money for special commissioning projects. Grants have also been awarded for Division conferences. Provided the grant request is deemed worthy, grants are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
Note: All clinicians who receive grant monies must be members of NBA. If the clinician is not a member, then the cost of membership should be deducted from the clinician’s stipend. (Also, the sponsor may provide the membership fee.)
Division and state chair personnel are updated from time to time depending on job moves, etc.
